Blake Johnson

As Executive Managing Director, Blake leads Transwestern’s Chicago operations, guiding more than 330 professionals and overseeing a portfolio of leased and managed properties totaling over 33 million square feet. He is responsible for executing strategic growth initiatives, expanding market share, and strengthening the firm’s investor and client relationships. His role includes working closely with teams throughout the market and across the country to ensure exceptional service delivery and accelerated new business opportunities.

With nearly three decades of commercial real estate experience, Blake held senior leadership roles across some of the industry’s most respected firms. Before joining Transwestern, Blake was Executive Vice President and senior partner with CBRE in Chicago, where he advised many of the nation’s top institutional investors and oversaw billions of dollars in investment activity. He also served as President of The John Buck Company, a Chicago-based real estate development, management and investment firm. Blake began his career at Eastdil Secured, where he helped launch and establish the firm’s Chicago office.

Blake earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Rice University and an MBA in finance from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
