Mike Honsa

Mike Honsa serves as Principal at Transwestern and currently leads the Suburban leasing team in the Twin Cities. He focuses his work on developing new business and marketing third-party brokerage and tenant representation accounts. Mike provides Transwestern with a strong business background and a teamwork-driven approach, which is essential to exceeding his clients' expectations. 

Mike Honsa joined Equity Commercial Services, the predecessor to Transwestern, in the Twin Cities in 2004. During his career, Mike has worked on transactions totaling over twenty million square feet and has been responsible for selling and leasing more than five million square feet of commercial real estate in the past three years. He has been recognized as a Power Broker by Costar for the last seven years. Mike is heavily involved in the commercial real estate community in Minnesota and has served on the Board of Directors for the Minnesota Commercial Association of REALTORS and is the past president of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) Minnesota-North Dakota and South Dakota Chapter.

Prior to his tenure at Equity Commercial Services, Mike served as Director of Corporate Outings and Merchandise for the 3M Championship, now known as the 3M Open, one of the largest events on both the Champion and PGA Tours. In addition to his outings and merchandise duties, Mike assisted with the overall marketing and branding of the event.

Mike’s client list includes Travelers, Equus, Group RMC, Interstate Partners, Opus Northwest, Ryan Companies, McGough Construction, Fiserv, IRET, CSM, Olympus, Behringer Harvard, Schafer Richardson, HPI, The Excelsior Group, Hudson Advisors, and Capital Partners.
