Biography

TRANSWESTERN ROLE

As Director of Research for the Southeast region, Spencer oversees multi-market data and analytics, providing strategic, industry-leading market and business intelligence to Transwestern teams, clients, and partners on local, regional, and national levels. He authors market reports and thought leadership, and leverages Transwestern’s robust research capabilities to support mergers and acquisitions, pitches and business development initiatives. As the National Multifamily Research Leader, Spencer collaborates across the Transwestern enterprise to produce value-driven research and analytical deliverables for internal and external stakeholders.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Prior to his role as Transwestern National Multifamily Research Leader, Spencer served as the firm’s National Healthcare Research Leader. Before joining Transwestern, he was a Research Manager at Lincoln Property Company, responsible for producing market reports and providing data and market analysis to brokers across sectors, and a Senior Research Associate at Colliers International, focused on business development.

PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATION / RECOGNITION

In 2014, he co-founded The Burrito Challenge, a local nonprofit that raises money to support substance abuse rehabilitation.

EDUCATION

Spencer earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Davidson College, where he lettered on the men’s golf team and served as its captain.
